Anchoring points in the architecture
MARO® concrete sealing cone for clamping points
For all the current shuttering and clamping point systems Maro ® offers the suitable support cones and concrete sealing cones.
MARO® fits colors and surfaces of sealing cones, so they do not stand out like foreign objects in the concrete.
While planning and determining the suitable clamping points, MARO® offers professional support for building developers, planners and construction companies.
MARO® Sleeve Cone for in-situ concrete
If a clamping point system is leaky, water and fine particles of concrete escape. This effect leads to a bleed-out of the clamping point. The consequences range from a circular discoloration around the clamping point to a fraying of the clamping point edge and an exposed grain structure.
Here the specialties in design of the MARO®– Sleeve Cone come into effect: Right at the places where water can leak out of the fresh concrete, the MARO® – Sleeve Cone is sealed with a special sealing ring. The sealing ring is made from a high quality, closed-cell PE-foam. When tightening the clamping point, the sealing rings between the formwork and cone compress completely into the cone.
MARO® sealing conce for transport anchors
Prefabricated components have to be transported in the factory as well as on the construction site. For this purpose different transport anchors are built into the component
Nailing plates are used for fastening to the formwork. After usage conical openings remain in the component. MARO®– Concrete Cones are the visually fitting seal for these openings. Independent of color or surface of the concrete.
MARO® clamping point mock-up
A concrete wall is a monochrome surface. Details, such as joints, gaps and clamping area have a strong impact on the overall impression of the surface
With the MARO® – clamping point mock-up you can simulate the optic on a 1:1 scale.
MARO® clamping point Mock-up also applies as an aid for agreement between planners and building companies.
Part of the MARO® – clamping point Mock-up are:
- Mock-up with two different clamping point-designs
- 6 different sealing alternatives
- 20 color samples as extension to our grey color spectrum
- 10 samples of surfaces to be able to fittingly seal clamping points with formwork surfaces like rough-cut or at the use of matrices.
- Sample of our formwork accessories to produce high-quality exposed concrete.
- A limited number of our Mock-ups are free for architects, planners, high schools and building companies.

MARO®- Sealing Band secures formwork joints and block outs from bleeding out
Block outs are required for lamps, doors, windows and built-in parts in concrete. If the joint between the block out and the formwork is not sufficiently sealed, water can escape from the concrete into the block out. Consequently this leads to various effects. From discoloration, to silting, bleeding-out effects and up to the total loss of the block out.
Seal your block out joints with MARO ® – Sealing Band.
About us
MARO® GmbH was founded in 1978 by Jürgen Mathies. In the beginning, the company was merely a mutual society and management company of patents, legislation, and fixed assets.
Around the year 2000, the demand for high-quality formwork supplies for the preparation of exposed concrete increased. To initially supply the demands of single construction projects, like the ICE train station airport Cologne-Bonn, a small production was developed, which then was steadily elaborated and increased.
As of 2004, MARO® GmbH began to supply dealers of special building materials in Germany, shortly after Switzerland and later Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. Following the death of the founder Jürgen Mathies in 2011, his wife Christiane Mathies and their two sons Philipp and Torsten Mathies took over the operative business of the company. Philipp and Torsten Mathies fare leading the operative business of the company. The twin brothers’ varying biographies have led the company to its special business strategy.
Philipp Mathies became an industrial management assistant, receiving his training at a big German building concern. From the year 2000 and on, he passed through all the hierarchical positions of the business group. The focus was always on the direct contact to the building sites, where far-reaching insights to the requirements and demands of the builders were made possible.
Torsten Mathies studied business information studies and made his career at an international business consultancy, which he left in favor of MARO® as a Senior-Consultant.
The understanding of construction sites and marketing through Philipp Mathies and the continuous improvement of the processes through Torsten Mathies, have made MARO® GmbH to a customer-orientated and reliable supplier in the sector of formwork accessories for exposed concrete. With long-term partnerships with its trading partners, MARO® GmbH has become a renowned name in the creation of premium exposed concrete.
